The greater Brandon area is an unincorporated area of eastern Hillsborough County. Primarily located East of Interstate 75, south of Interstate 4, and north of Hwy 674 otherwise known as Big Bend Rd. Comprised as once a sleepy little farm town outside of Tampa, the area began to grow primarily in the mid 1980 s. It is comprised of smaller communities with their own mailing address and city names yet there is no difference as to schools, tax base, shopping and community services. These areas are known as Valrico, Riverview, Lithia, Mango, Seffner, Durant, and Gibsonton. A vibrant growing area, the Greater Brandon community offers some of the best overall schools in Hillsborough county, some of the most affordable housing and a great location just about an hour to Beaches such as Anna Maria, St Pete, Fort Desoto Park and then a little over an hour to Orlando and Disneyworld, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Universal Studios, Harry Potter and so much more.
